R.I.P. Emery Lindsey 3/22/23 - 11/5/09

Che's grandpa's funeral was today. Mr. Emery Lindsey was 86 and one of my favorite people in the whole world. He joined the army in 1940 at the age of 17. After the war he stayed in the army and also fought in Korea. He ended up retiring with 22 years service as a Master Sgt. After that he quietly worked at different jobs, raised his kids, and served the Lord as a faithful church member. Never once in all these years has anyone ever heard a word of complaint for the horrors he saw in two wars. The family needs help with funeral expenses and the family is hosting a benefit at 10279 N. Ave. H in La Porte this Sat. the 14th starting at noon. BBQ plates at $7, drinks at $1. BYOB if u wish. There will also be raffle and auction items. I know with deer season and other things many won't be able to make it, but if your able to come out and honor a true American Hero we would be very grateful.
